The UK's quantum networking ecosystem is advancing. Hardware is being deployed. Investments have been made at scale. But the question that will determine whether quantum security actually protects critical infrastructure remains unanswered: how do you know it's working?

There is currently no systematic way to verify quantum channel integrity in deployment, no compliance tooling built for operational technology environments, and no vendor-neutral assurance layer connecting quantum hardware to regulatory requirements.
